Description

The actions of local entrepreneurs only apply in the period February 12 to April 3, 2022.

1) Start the route at the always cozy Coolplein in Heerhugowaard! Want to start with a cup of coffee or something else delicious? Then visit Brasserie IJzer and receive the second cup of coffee for free. Don't miss the Vue cinema either, because there is a voucher waiting for you with a 50% discount for your next cinema visit. Feel like doing something active? Then make use of the Bowl-Golf package with a 15% discount (normal price: € 12.50 pp). Then you can go bowling for 1 hour at De Waerd Bowling & Events (downstairs) and discover the 12-hole Glowgolf course (upstairs, next to the casino)! - this offer is only valid during the cycling tour. Fancy an evening of theatre? Then walk in at Cool! If you book directly, you will receive the second ticket for free for Jazzclub Cool in season 2021-2022 (regular price: € 6) or the second ticket for free for an evening of laughter at the Cool Comedy Café in season 2021-2022 (regular price : € 8.50)

2) Continue the route through the Park of Luna. Here you can enjoy cycling and in the meantime enjoy this beautiful, wide recreational area.

3) You continue your way to the Polder Museum, also known as the Oude Gemaal. A cultural landmark not to be missed. You will learn more about the history of Heerhugowaard here. Check the opening hours carefully, these are very limited.

4) Time for some nature! We go to the Waarderhout, a green recreation area in the middle of Heerhugowaard. A perfect place for a relaxing walk or bike ride.

5) Via the striking Krulbrug and the harbor in Broekhorn we cycle to Broek op Langedijk.

6) The next stop is the cultural hotspot of Broek op Langedijk: Museum Broekerveiling. An impressive building from the outside, but certainly also from the inside! Walk in and receive entrance with a 50% discount and free coffee and cake!

7) We continue the bike ride through the characteristic Dorpsstraat in Langedijk.

8) A visit to the Kingdom of the Thousand Islands should of course not be missed on this route! You can feast your eyes on the beautifully situated villas during a tour of this beautiful neighborhood.

9) Warm up again or have a nice lunch? Then the next stop is very convenient! Walk into restaurant De Burg in Noord-Scharwoude. If you order a lunch of your choice there, you will receive a free cup of Langedijker sauerkraut soup. A real local delicacy!

10) We're going to kick the pedals again, we're going to the Geestmerambacht! You cycle through the polder to the always pleasant El Chiringuito on the north side. Enjoy the beautiful nature and something delicious, you will receive a free filled cake or pink cake when you order a cup of coffee/tea/cappuccino. This is where the bike ride ends, but it
recreation area is of course perfect for some extra cycling kilometers or a nice walk!
