Description
As the Dijk & Waard Promotion Foundation, we have connected local sights, restaurants and indoor and outdoor recreation locations for kids/families through a varied 14-kilometre bike ride. The actions from the entrepreneurs only apply in the period February 12 to April 3, 2022.
1) Start the route at De Geus Events Langedijk. At De Geus you can enjoy bowling & climbing in addition to sports and a great bite to eat at the snack bar or restaurant. Walk in and get the second cup of coffee and lemonade for the kids for free. Nice to see the bowling alley, climbing course and the many other facilities of De Geus right away.
2) Continue your route towards Museum BroekerVeiling. An impressive building from the outside, but certainly also from the inside! There is a lot of history behind these walls. Walk in and receive entrance with a 50% discount and free coffee and cake!
3) We also go to the'neighbour\\\': Winkelcentrum Broekerveiling. Be sure to visit Top1Toys, because the kids can spin the big wheel there and have a chance to win a great prize. Won nothing? Don't worry, every child can also grab something so they don't go home empty handed. Also drop by at Jamin, because there you can fill a bag of candy with a 25% discount. Nice for on the go! Right next to it, go into the children's clothing store Rebel & Olive, because there you can win a gift voucher if you leave your name and telephone number. Fingers crossed!
4) We cross the channel, on to Heerhugowaard! Immediately after you have cycled under the crossroads, you will see restaurant Simply Lekker on your right. Did you know that you can score the famous homemade cheesecakes to go here? Delicious as dessert for tonight... walk in and receive a cup of coffee or tea incl. a slice of homemade cheesecake or apple pie for € 3.95 pp ( gone = gone ).
5) Just lost the energy? Continue cycling to Jumpsquare Heerhugowaard! Here the kids can enjoy jumping. The second hour of jumping is free for participants in this cycle route. No time now? Then just walk in and pick up a voucher that will give you the second hour for free another time.
6) On to the next child-friendly place: Tante Suus! There you can, among other things, celebrate very nice children's parties and follow workshops for adults. But you can also'visit\\\' a few days a week and just play. There is a lot to do! So walk in and let yourself be surprised. You can also stay here for a while or bring a voucher for next time. You then pay € 5 instead of € 7.50 per child to visit. Parents receive a € 5 discount on a workshop or arrangement.
7) And we cycle on again, now to De Bongelaar petting zoo! There is plenty to do, see and experience. Come and enjoy the animals, the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful trees.
8) Time for even more nature, we're going to Speelbos Waarderhout! There you can whiz on the cable car, build huts or play hide and seek in the undergrowth. And even balancing over a ditch via the wobbly bridge. Have a good time!
9) You have already arrived at the last point of this route, we are now at the always pleasant Coolplein. Here you can pick up a voucher at the VUE cinema that gives you a whopping 50% discount on a cinema ticket for a night out. Feel like doing something active? Then make use of the Bowl-Golf package with a 15% discount (normal price: € 12.50 pp). Then you can go bowling for 1 hour at De Waerd Bowling & Events (downstairs) and discover the 12-hole Glowgolf course (upstairs, next to the casino)! - this offer is only valid during the cycling tour.
