The route starts and ends at Tilburg University station. There is plenty of free parking there. In contrast to the"Around Tilburg\\\" routes with a lower sequence number, this route does not go from Tilburg in a specific direction but runs in a tight loop around Tilburg.
We start in an easterly direction, and turn left in the Bokhamer, a district of Tilburg that is still well preserved. Tilburg was created by the growth of several hamlets; this was one of them. Here we turn left past the Suleymaniya mosque, and then continue past some weavers' houses, the Reitse or Tongelose Hoeve, ROC De Rooi Pannen (a former minor seminary) and repiel house De Oliemeulen.
We then arrive at the Hasselt Chapel, by far the oldest Maria chapel in Tilburg and one of the older in Brabant. It is particularly busy here in May; there are several market stalls selling sweets. Feel free to light a candle.
We drive a little further and turn right at the Wilhelminakanaal. We follow this canal for a few kilometers. You will find a charging point at the Zomerlust café-restaurant.
A little further on we arrive at the Abbey of Our Lady of Koningshoeven. Here you will find a sheepfold and the famous Trappist brewery. You can view it or take part in a beer tasting in the associated restaurant.
We drive a short distance back to Tilburg and then through the Leijpark past the Sint-Elisabeth Hospital and the river Leij. Through the hamlet of Bakertand, municipality of Goirle, we drive further west past the De Katsbogten surfing lake.
A little further on we pass café-restaurant De Commanderie, with a playground for the children. Shortly afterwards we find ourselves on the Bels Lijntje, the former railway line from Tilburg to Turnhout (Belgium), now a tourist cycle path.
We follow this cycle path for a few kilometers north, past the fields of hockey club HCT and the star forest De Oude Warande. After the level crossing, turn right and pass the Wandelbos and De Zeven Geitjes restaurant. Finally, at café-restaurant Boerke Mutsaers you are back at your starting point, Tilburg University station.
