Description
Experience the beautiful nature of South Funen on this 42.2 km cycling route. The route takes you through idyllic harbor towns, where you can enjoy fresh fish for lunch, up to Svanninge Bakker, where you literally go uphill.
The tour starts in beautiful Faaborg and takes you west towards Dyreborg. The harbor in Dyreborg is an idyllic and cozy harbor right next to a forest and has been the center of a small fishing community since ancient times. Further towards Horne you pass Hvedholm Castle, a beautiful castle hotel in South Funen. The next stop is Bojden. Here you can explore Bojden Nor, a lagoon lake with a hiking trail system and rich bird life. The tour goes uphill north to Svanninge Bakker, also nicknamed "the Funen Alps". Explore the many viewpoints of the nature reserve before returning to Faaborg.
