Tour of Bergherbos along the rampart castle and lookout tower

Your route starts at Uitspanning't Peeske. You will soon be enjoying the fresh forest air of the Bergherbos, a wonderful area for a walk. The rolling landscape not only offers beautiful views between the trees, forests and vistas over organic fields and lovely church villages, but also alternates beautifully. It is quite undulating here, with the highest point being the Hettenheuvel (93m). On one of the hilltops you can see the old fortress Montferland. You walk back along the Hulzenberg (82.4 m). The tower itself also measures 21 metres high and can be climbed by everyone. After the tough climb you can enjoy a beautiful view of the wide area. From here you can see all the way from the Veluwezoom to Elten and beyond.
