Tour of Westkapelle: creek, dike and lighthouse

Your route starts at Het Polderhuis, museums & more. From here you walk north over the dike. On the left you see the sea, on the right you have a beautiful view of Westkapelle with its characteristic red roofs. You also walk past the High Lighthouse of Westkapelle, an almost 50 meter high church tower from 1470 that now serves as a lighthouse. This beacon of Westkapelle can also be climbed, buy tickets at the starting point before departure. On the south side of the village you walk along De Kreek. It is a remnant of the war, when the dike was bombed by the Allies. Now there are many birds, you might even see a kingfisher. The dune from the Joossesweg offers a beautiful view over this creek, the sea and Westkapelle.
