Tour of Riel, Nieuwkerk estate and Gilze

Your route starts at Restaurant Stad Parijs. You drive along the edge of the Oude Warande, built in 1712, one of the few well-preserved star forests in the Netherlands. You follow a section of Bels Lijntje, a cycle path over a former railway connection to Belgium, through the greenery. From Riel you cycle along the edge of the Regte Heide, on a beautiful cycle path that winds between the trees. Further on you drive through the Nieuwkerk estate, where there are some beautiful farms and a beautiful monastery in the middle of the forest. Stop off at Klooster Nieuwkerk for a snack and a drink! Then you cycle further to the nice village of Alphen. You drive back via the Water aan de Warande, a hunting area (warande) of the Prince of Orange, lord of Breda.
