You cycle along the edge of the Oude Warande, built in 1712, one of the few well-preserved star forests in the Netherlands. You follow a section of the Bels Lijntje, a cycle path over a former railway connection to Belgium, through the greenery. From Riel you cycle along the edge of the Regte Heide, over a beautiful cycle path that winds between the trees. Further on you cycle over the Nieuwkerk estate, here are several beautiful farms and a beautiful monastery, in the middle of the forest. Stop at the Nieuwkerk Monastery for a bite to eat and a drink! Then you cycle on to the nice village of Alphen. You cycle back via the Water aan de Warande, a hunting area (warande) of the Prince of Orange, Lord of Breda.
