Tour of Bossche Broek, Heusden and Maas

Your route starts at Ice & Cake Moment. From here you cycle through the Bossche Broek, which is increasingly changing back into the swamp area of almost four centuries ago. You will pass close to the Loonse & Drunense Duinen National Park with its beautiful forests and sand drifts. Here you can possibly pay a visit to Giersbergen, the hamlet consists almost entirely of thatched long-gabled farms. You will also pass the Wielen van Waalwijk A wheel is a pool of water in the landscape that is created by a dike breach. Waalwijk at one time had no less than 27 of these small water surfaces. Be sure to get off in the fortified town of Heusden! You cycle back along the Bergsche Maas. This part of the Meuse was dug by hand at the end of the nineteenth century.
