Four villages route Rijen, Molenschot, Gilze and Hulten

Your route starts at Smaak Lokaal or Gastrobar Wendy, 2 cozy locations next to each other. Today you will make a nice round along the villages of Rijen, Molenschot, Gilze and Hulten. In the Hoofdstraat of Rijen you will see several monumental houses and two former tanneries. The area around the station is also picturesque. Via the hamlet of Hulten you drive along fields and meadows to Gilze. Here too you will see several beautiful villas and old farms. On the Kerkstraat you will see the restored Flemish Barn that originally dates from 1647. It served as a clandestine church for some time. On the Nieuwstraat you will pass Maalderij 't Stoom, a former steam mill from 1892. In the middle of Molenschot you will find the Sint Annakerk from 1887. The Sint-Annakapel dates from 1842, but had a predecessor that was built in 1549.
