LOLLAND-FALSTER One quarter of The Baltic Sea Cycle Route goes through Lolland-Falster, following the northern coastline of the Baltic Sea. The area is known for its beautiful, historic manor landscapes, luxurious bed and breakfast stays, cozy farm shops and locally produced food experiences. Biking through Lolland-Falster also gives you access to some of the"hidden\\\" experiences such as"The Dodekalith\\\" as well as the islands of Femo, Fejo and Vejro and it takes you on a long and open stretch along the coastline, only a few meters from the beach. On the stretch from Tars to Rodby you follow Denmark\\\'s longest cycle path on a dike. The next stretch passes the nature reserve of the lakes in Maribo, Sakskobing with the fjord and its many food experiences and Marielyst, which offers beach life and water sports experiences you will remember as some of the best in Denmark. And finally, the stretch of the route towards Stubbekobing is recognized as something special with its Danish beech forests, mild coastline, and historic buildings around Haesnaes. Your entry or farewell to Lolland-Falster - depending on your chosen direction - is made on the ferry IDA that crosses the stretch of water between the islands of Bogo and Falster.
