Tour of Leudal from Haelen

Your route starts at Boscafé de Busjop. From here you walk through the Leudal nature reserve. The Leudal nature reserve is intersected by the meandering Tungelroyse Beek, locally called the Leubeek. In the Leudal you will find an alternation of wet and dry forests. You also walk along the edge of Landgoed de Begelaar, named after a legend. There used to be a castle here, where a beggar knocked on Christmas Eve. He was flatly refused and cursed the castle, which was swallowed up by the earth. Now here lies the fen'the Great Beggar\\\'.
