Tour of Leudal from Haelen

Your route starts at Boscafé de Busjop. From here you walk through the Leudal nature reserve. The Leudal nature reserve is intersected by the meandering Tungelroyse Beek, locally called the Leubeek. In the Leudal you will find a variety of wet and dry forests. You also walk along the edge of Landgoed de Bedelaar, named after a legend. There used to be a castle here, where a beggar knocked on the door on Christmas Eve. He was bluntly refused and cursed the castle, which was swallowed up by the earth. Now this is where the 'Great Beggar' window is located.
