E-bike route around Rotterdam and Rotte

From your starting point you meander along the Rotte to the heart of Rotterdam. At the Old Port you will pass the world-famous Cube Houses. At number 70 you can view one from the inside. You will also see the Netherlands' own White House here: a 45-meter-high office building from 1898. It was the first skyscraper in Europe at the time. A little further on you will come across one of the oldest buildings in the city on the Binnenrotte: the Laurenskerk. This late Gothic church took its current form around 1525, but was severely damaged during the bombardment of May 14, 1940. Today it is a striking appearance among all the architectural new buildings. You drive back along the Bergsche Voorplas, the Lage Bergse Bos and the Groenzoom.
