Description
You first drive through the Lage Bergse Bos with its lakes, forests and open areas. You cycle to the heart of Delft via the Ackerdijkse Plassen and the Abtswoudse Bos. Wonderful atmosphere! Then you will discover the water features, forest and grasslands around the Dobbeplas. In the Bieslandse Bos you will find a variety of swamp forests and fields where Galloway cattle and Icelandic horses graze. In the Balijbos you see many beech, ash and alder trees. Back you follow De Groenzoom, a nature and recreation area that connects Midden-Delfland with the Groene Hart. From here you cycle to the Rottemeren. After the reclamation, the surrounding polders started to settle and peat, so that the Rottemeren are now higher than the surrounding landscape.
