With the e-bike via Heusden through the Biesbosch

In the past, rivers not only served to transport people and goods, but also formed a natural division between regions or countries. This also applies to the Maas, which separates the provinces of Gelderland and North Brabant, among others. This route takes you along the Maas between the fortified town of Heusden and the Biesbosch. Taste the atmosphere in Geertruidenberg and Raamsdonksveer and stop at Poort naar de Biesbosch in Lage Zwaluwe! You can cross by ferry to the Biesbosch, one of the few freshwater areas in the world where there is an ebb and flow. In the information center (along the route!) you can learn everything about the special nature here. You might even spot an osprey or sea eagle that come here to hunt every now and then!
