Description
Through small beautiful villages such as Wemeldinge and Wolphaartsdijk you cross to the Veerse Meer. This saltwater lake was created by damming the Veerse Gat as part of the Delta Works. There are always many water sports enthusiasts to be seen here, a beautiful sight. You drive back along the Oosterschelde. Thanks to the ingenious Oosterscheldekering the area is still connected to the sea, only during storms the locks are closed.
