Tour of Kampse Plas and Maria Molen

Your walk starts at IJs & Spijs in Haps. In the village you can see the neo-Gothic Sint-Nicolaas church from 1899. If you leave the buildings behind you, you walk along the Kampse Plas, a fish pond in the middle of nature. The Kampse Plas is connected to various nature reserves via the old German Line, the former railway line between Boxtel and Wezel. Afterwards you will discover the Maria Molen in the small hamlet of Haring, just above Haps. This hexagonal wooden windmill is a flour mill from 1802. The ground sailer was converted into a belt mill in 1859. Once back in Haps, you can end the day with a delicious ice cream at IJs & Spijs. One of the best ice cream parlors in the Netherlands - and that in a tiny village in Brabant!
