Tour of Delftse Hout and highlights of Delft

Your route starts at Camping De Drie Morgen. It is wonderful to cycle through the pleasant old city of Delft. The old streets and canals in the city center are a feast for the eyes with their many monumental buildings. For example, you will pass the Oostpoort, the only remaining Delft city gate from around 1400. The fourteenth-century Nieuwe Kerk with the mausoleum of William of Orange is of course a well-known attraction. Just like the Town Hall from 1620. Outside the city you can explore the green and water-rich area of Het Delftse Hout. You also drive into the forests and wet meadows of the adjacent Bieslandpolder. The water from this polder was once used by Delft breweries, but later the peat from this area disappeared into stoves.
