Your route starts at Holiday Park In De Rimboe and Woeste Hoogte. The cozy village of Hoenderloo is known as the entrance gate to De Hoge Veluwe National Park, but you don't have to enter the park to enjoy a nice walk. You walk through the Deelerwoud, which has everything that makes the Veluwe so attractive: vast forests and endless heaths in a rolling landscape. It is very quiet here, you have a good chance of spotting a fallow deer or red deer! You also walk along the Woeste Hoeve, which originated long ago at the intersection of old Hanseatic and Hessen roads. The hamlet that used to be here has almost disappeared, but you can still see an inn. It was built in 1771 on the site of a medieval inn.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
