Wildlife spotting tour at the Woeste Hoeve

Your route starts at Holiday Park In De Rimboe and Woeste Hoogte. The cozy village of Hoenderloo is known as the gateway to National Park De Hoge Veluwe, but you don't have to enter the park to enjoy beautiful walks. You walk through the Deelerwoud, which has everything that makes the Veluwe so attractive: vast forests and endless heathlands in a rolling landscape. It is very quiet here, you have a good chance of spotting a fallow deer or red deer here! You also walk past the Woeste Hoeve, which arose long ago at the crossroads of old Hanseatic and Hessian roads. The hamlet that was here has almost disappeared, but you can still see an inn. This was built in 1771 on the site of a medieval inn.
