Tour of Zierikzee, Burgh-Haamstede and Schuddebeurs

Your route starts at Café De Gekroonde Suikerbeet. Zierikzee has no fewer than 568 monuments. The most famous building is the Sint-Lievensmonstertoren from 1506. The old North and South port gates on the Oude Haven are two of the three remaining city gates of Zierikzee. Afterwards you will discover Burgh-Haamstede. Burgh originated around a ring walburg that was raised at the end of the ninth century against robbery Normans. In Haamstede you can see Slot Haamstede here, a national monument from the thirteenth century. You drive past the small Noordwelle and Ellemeet to the beautiful old Brouwershaven. You cycle back through the hamlet of Schuddebeurs. Numerous capital houses with accompanying parks arose here in the Golden Age. A number of beautiful villas have fortunately escaped the violence of the Second World War.
