Kids-proof route along playgrounds and the fortified town of Heusden

Your route starts at De Speeltol. Today you drive along the water, first to the Neswaarden playground in Aalst. This beautiful spot in the Bommelerwaard can be found on the Zaaiwaard, a beautiful piece of nature with a beach, sunbathing lawn, sports fields and a large playground. Then you can take the ferry to Nederhemert Castle, dating from 1300. After another ferry ride you cycle through Heusden, a fortified town restored in the old style. You can still clearly see the star-shaped pattern of the fortifications here!
