When you think of the Veluwe, you think of vast forests and heathlands. Enjoy the silence at your leisure, and perhaps spot a deer, fox or beautiful bird while walking. But the Veluwe also has an interesting heritage. With't Pad van Zus you walk past some of these cultural-historical treasures. You will pass old burial mounds in several places. The path meanders over the Groot and Klein Boeschoten estates. The Speulderbos is one of the oldest and most beautiful forests in the Netherlands. You will also pass the Gat van Zus. Zus's Hole is several meters deep and about thirty meters in diameter. The base for this route is De Sculpture Garden/Sand Sculptures in Garderen. Here you will find a lunchroom to enjoy a drink, lunch or high tea.

The Sculpture Garden in Garderen is an experience: walk through the special garden full of beautiful wood sculptures. When you walk around here, you probably immediately start to itch to decorate your own house and garden with all the attractive things you see around you. Combine a visit to The Sculpture Garden with a visit to the Sand Sculptures that take place annually from April to October on the same site. The most beautiful scenes are depicted with sand during this exhibition. Fun for young and old! After all that walking around and admiring it, it's time for a cup of coffee and something tasty at the Rozentuin lunchroom, which is also located on the same grounds. Go for a delicious piece of cake, a High Tea or a savory snack. It's all equally delicious at the Rose Garden.

On the heath of Bergsham near Garderen is a group of burial mounds from the Bronze Age (2000-800 BC). The people who lived here chose this remarkably high point to bury their dead. Tradition has it been a haunt of ghosts and pagan gods for centuries.

The sheepfold of Boeschoten offers shelter to the sheep that graze the Veluwe during the day. The sheepfold has wooden parts and a thatched roof, which gives it an authentic atmosphere.
