Slow life in the dunes

The Dutch dunes are famous for their natural beauty. A walk through one of the many dune areas is therefore always a guarantee for a special experience. This route takes you through Meijendel, an extensive and varied dune and nature reserve near Wassenaar. The further you walk towards the sea, the more the wooded area gradually changes into a vegetation of smaller, stocky trees and shrubs. You not only see that the influence of the sea wind is greater in this middle dune, you also feel it. Every now and then you hear the melodious song of birds such as the nightingale, reed bunting and willow warbler. The base for this excursion is Pancake Farm Meijendel, which is located in the middle of the dunes. After an invigorating walk, you can sit down on the terrace or inside the charming farm.
