First you discover the Westerpark, a recreational area that was built around 1980. You will find a mix of water features, forest and grasslands here. The Driemanspolder dates back to 1668, the time when Zoetermeer was still a real lake. It is named after the three men who were chosen each year from among the investors to form its board of directors. In recent years, this polder has been transformed into an area for water storage, nature and recreation. Hence the name Nieuwe Driemanspolder. You will discover different paths, enjoy nature and spot all kinds of birds. You can canoe, sup, kayak and row on the water. The area is still developing, so there is always something new to see!
