Hiking route: 3067714
Provided by: Groots Genieten
Hilvarenbeek is a beautiful old village that you can easily explore on foot. In the countryside you walk along meadows, fields and old farms. Gradually you see the church tower of Hilvarenbeek coming closer. First you walk past De Doornboom, the only working corn mill in Hilvarenbeek. The mill dates from 1857. If the wind permits, it is ground every Saturday. When the mill is turning, it is freely accessible. You walk onto the old Vrijthof, a square that enjoys a protected village view. A beautiful authentic spot, this rectangular lawn with the kiosk. You see two centuries-old lime trees, several stately mansions and the late Gothic Sint-Petrus\\\'-Bandenkerk from the fifteenth century. What a nice atmosphere!
Tour tip; Hiking with kids! Routes up to 5 km are ideal
