Description

Your route starts at City Hotel Hengelo. Get off at Het Stift van Weerselo. From the fourteenth century onwards, unmarried noble ladies were provided with a good education in this monastery. The picturesque center of Ootmarsum has a protected villagescape, you will see many beautiful monumental buildings. The Saint Nicholas Church in Denekamp was built in the thirteenth century from Bentheim sandstone. Huis Singraven is located in an idyllic location on the Dinkel, the current building dates from the seventeenth century. The Singraven Mill has a history dating back to the fifteenth century. You also drive close to Oldenzaal, a former textile town. You will find numerous country estates around the city. This way you pass the Egheria Estate with the 85 meter high Tankenberg, the highest point in Overijssel.
