Description

Your route starts at Camping De Couwenberg. From here you cycle north via the Neterselse Heide, where you discover the Landschotse Heide. This nature reserve is known for the many dragonfly species that occur there - there are almost 30 of them. One of them is the white-nosed dragonfly, a beautiful name! Those dragonflies flock to the open water, such as the Wit Hollandven, in the middle of the heathland. Cows often graze on the heath, a beautiful sight. Vessem is a quiet village with a large rectangular lawn as the central village square and a number of beautiful buildings around it. The oldest of these is the church tower from the 15th century. Many pilgrims come to Vessem on their way to Santiago de Compostela. You can taste the peace and reflection.
