Tour of Brabantse Wal from Steenbergen

You cycle straight through the rural countryside via the picturesque church village of Moerstraten to the forests of the Brabantse Wal. This moraine was created during the last Ice Age, 15 to 10,000 years ago. The edge of the sand plateau extends from the Belgian border to Steenbergen and reaches a height of up to 20 meters. The Wouwse Plantage is also worth a visit, this is one of the most beautiful forest areas in the Netherlands. This estate, built in the sixteenth century, has many coniferous forests, while in the north the land has been made suitable for agriculture. The few buildings that are there seem untouched by time. A little later you drive into the Lievensberg Estate with its sand drifts, heath gardens and pine forests.
