Tour of Heusden along water and nature

Your route starts at Camperplaats Den Bosch. From here you drive to the Loonse & Drunense Duinen National Park, with its beautiful forests and sand drifts. This route takes you along the northern edge. In the nice little Giersbergen time seems to have stood still a bit. This hamlet consists almost entirely of thatched, long-gable farmhouses. You will pass through Heusden, a fortified town restored in the old style. Take your time to visit this town, thanks to the many centuries-old buildings and fortifications it feels like you are traveling back in time. You drive along the Maas to the old village of Bokhoven. A little later you drive into the nature reserve around the Engelermeer. Here you will find a mixture of swamp forests, reed beds and cultivated land, close to the city.
