Description

Estate Warnsborn near Arnhem is picturesque and very varied. With this spicy triple you will see the entire estate and you will also pass two major Arnhem attractions; the Open Air Museum and Burgers\\\' Zoo. Who knows, if you were already planning to visit one of these parks, you can combine this nicely. But the hilly estate itself also offers a lot for a good part of the day entertainment. Take your time, because with so many sights along the way, it's not a walk to be in a hurry. The park is really beautifully landscaped with a beautiful terraced garden with watercourses, ponds and retaining walls. There is a rock garden with inviting paths and exciting caves.

Soon after you have left the parking lot, you will walk across Zypendaal park with the stately country house of the same name. Huis Zypendaal was built by the Arnhem regent family Brantsen as a country estate around 1762-1764. The country house can be visited every Sunday from April to October from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

You walk on and soon come face to face with another beautiful country house. The present hotel-restaurant Groot Warnsborn is a feast for the eyes. You can relax incredibly well, eat, enjoy. The country house itself with the adjacent idyllic orangery form a beautiful unity. You can imagine that this is a popular place for a wedding. From here you go through the gently sloping forest towards the two attractions.

It is clear that you are here against the Veluwe. The southern edge, also called the Veluwezoom, runs just above Arnhem. Characteristic here is the fairly steep edge that forms the higher Veluwe with the riverbed of the Nederrijn. This gives surprisingly steep roads that you hardly expect in the Netherlands. Burgers Zoo\\\' that you are now walking past, of course needs no explanation. This special zoo with its various indoor'worlds\\\' such as the bush and the desert is worth taking the time to explore. The same applies to the Dutch Open Air Museum where you imagine yourself back in times gone by. You walk back to the parking lot through the beautiful green Alteveer district. Enjoy the beautiful 1930s houses in this district.
