Walking route forest Over Holland and Sterreschans

You start this route at Hotel Flora Batava. You immediately turn right and walk on the cycle path towards Nieuwersluis. As you walk to Nieuwersluis, you will see beautiful old country houses on your right. Country estates Over Holland, Sterreschans and Rupelmonde are located next to each other here. If you continue to follow the road straight ahead, just before the small village of Nieuwerluis you choose a walking path around the Nieuwersluis fort . You walk past houseboats and meadows towards the canal.  Follow the route to the park forest of Sterreschans. This transfer of the Sterreschans outer plate is privately owned, but the forest is freely accessible.  You make a loop here and return to the Rijksstraatweg. Turn right here and turn right again at the cycle path. You are now in the forest of Over Holland. This is the transfer of the Over Holland country estate and is owned by the Utrecht Landscape. It is then a short walk back to the hotel.
