Tour of the Brabantse Wal forests

This cycling tour takes you through the forests of the Brabantse Wal. This moraine formed during the last Ice Age, 15,000 to 10,000 years ago. The edge of the sandy plateau stretches from the Belgian border to Steenbergen and reaches a height of up to 20 meters. The Lievensberg Estate is also a notable sight. Here, the landscape consists of sand drifts, heathland gardens, and pine forests. During your trip, you'll also visit the Wouwse Plantage, one of the most beautiful woodlands in the Netherlands. This estate, established in the sixteenth century, features many coniferous forests, while in the north, the land has been made suitable for agriculture.
