Description

From your starting point you drive straight through nature to the village of Loon op Zand, which is named after the Loonse and Drunense Dunes. You make a nice loop through this. In addition to the famous drifting dunes, this national park also has extensive heathlands and quiet forests. From the pleasant Waalwijk you cycle to the Land van Heusden and Altena, via a crossing with the Capelle-Dussen ferry. Further on, get off at Brasserie de Laegt in rural Almkerk! House Babyloniënbroek is also a beautiful sight on your route. The cellar vault, the oldest part of the house, was only discovered during the 1975 restoration. The foundations date from the second half of the fourteenth century and are still clearly visible.
