Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts at Gastel Sfeer. At Bosschenhoofd you cycle right past the runway of the small Breda International Airport, where you mainly see small planes. Try to keep up with them! Then you cycle through De Pannenhoef, a unique and quiet nature reserve just below the Brabant Etten-Leur. Centuries ago, De Pannenhoef looked like the Peel in the east of Brabant. From the fourteenth to the seventeenth century, peat was extracted here in abundance. In dried form (peat), everything was transported to Breda and Roosendaal via peat canals as fuel for households and breweries. Now there is a beautiful nature reserve of forest, fens and flowery meadows. Rare plants such as heather cartel leaf and marsh deer hay grow along the fens. You cycle back via the old centre of Roosendaal.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
