Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts at Onder de Toren. At Bosschenhoofd, you'll cycle right past the runway of Breda International Airport, where you'll mainly see small planes. Just try keeping up! Then you'll cycle through De Pannenhoef, a unique and tranquil nature reserve just south of Etten-Leur in Brabant. Centuries ago, De Pannenhoef resembled the Peel region in eastern Brabant. From the fourteenth to the seventeenth century, peat was extensively extracted here. Dried peat was transported via peat canals to Breda and Roosendaal as fuel for households and breweries. Now, there's a beautiful nature reserve of forests, fens, and flower-filled meadows. Rare plants such as heather moorland and marsh hyssop grow along the fens. You'll cycle back through the old center of Roosendaal.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
