Your cycle route starts at Holiday Park Ackersate. The ideal base for exploring the Gelderse Valley. You can enjoy endless views in a landscape that mainly consists of meadows and the tranquil valleys of the Barneveldse Beek and the Esvelderbeek. From your starting point you cycle through the small Esveld to the original church village of Barneveld, along water and greenery. Barneveld has had an important market function for the area for centuries. The market here is therefore worthwhile and you will also find nice shops. On the edge of Barneveld you will discover the De Schaffelaar estate, where there is a beautiful castle. Its history goes back to the sixteenth century. The surrounding Schaffelaarsche Bos is also a wonderful area to cycle through.
