Tour of Garderen and Sculpture Garden from Voorthuizen

Your route starts at Ackersate Holiday Park. From here you cycle past the Groot and Klein Boeschoten estates. Here you will see, among other things, a characteristic elongated sheepfold that provides shelter for the flock of sheep that graze the Veluwe and the Speulderbos during the day. A real primeval forest where nature is allowed to take its course. Just outside the nice tourist town of Garderen, get off at De Beeldentuin. Here you will find a lunchroom to enjoy a drink, lunch or high tea. The Sculpture Garden also houses a nostalgic showroom village where you can get ideas for the design of your home and garden. The Houtbeek near Stroe dates from the last ice age, when meltwater carved out a channel here. Hunter-gatherers set up their hunting camps here as far back as the Stone Age.
