Nice long route to the Boetelerveld

Your route starts at Jorink Bakkerij - Lunchroom - Ijssalon. With this long walk you will explore the low-lying part of Salland. The landscape alternates between farmland, nature reserve and historic estates with old harbours. The residents of this region are said to be particularly hospitable. Experience this for yourself, for example on one of the farms where regional products are sold! Via Mariënheem you walk into the countryside. To the southeast of Raalte lies the nature reserve Boetelerveld, of 170 hectares. Here you will find the last piece of damp heathland of what used to cover the whole of Salland. The area is grazed by a herd of Scottish Highlanders. There are several ponds and a larger water body in the area where you will also find a viewing hut to spot water birds such as the grebe.
