The route starts and ends at Tilburg station. Part of the route is unpaved, but easy to walk on, even in the rain.
Through the Stationsstraat we drive past the police station to the
Hiroshima monument and the VVV. Past the
chapel of Onze Lieve Vrouwe ter Nood we arrive at the
Heikese or
Dionysius church . Dionysius is the patron saint of Tilburg. On your left you see the
Oude Markt , where several café-restaurants are located, including café
Anvers , which has won several prizes.
We turn left past the Heikese church. On your right you see the theatre and the concert hall , on the corner in front of you the courthouse . On your left you see the palace-town hall , built by King William II , who lived in Tilburg with great pleasure for many years during the secession of Belgium and did a lot for the city.
We turn right, into the Bisschop Zwijsenstraat. Incidentally, there is a statue of this bishop against the side wall of the Heikese church. There is a war memorial at the Primus van Gilsstraat. At the church of Broekhoven, keep left, onto the Broekhovenseweg. A little further on, you pass the Sint-Elisabethziekenhuis .
Pass under the highway and immediately turn right. A little further on, cross a small bridge and then take the first street on the left. At the roundabout further on, turn left onto Abcovenseweg. Here you will find a small deer park on your left. Follow the road until you pass the mill . In the De Hovel shopping center, on your right, you will also find the VVV. Furthermore, in Goirle you will find several cafes and restaurants, two war memorials , and the church of Sint Jans\\\' Onthoofding . There is a bicycle repair shop nearby.
Just past the church, turn left to junction 36. Here, keep left to the forests of Gorp and Roovert . In the forests, you will see the Bankven on your right. At junction 38, you will have arrived in the hamlet of Gorp . Here, turn right to junction 50 and then to junction 77. This last section is unpaved, but easy to walk on, even in the rain. On the way, cross the main road to Poppel (Belgium), the Turnhoutsebaan, at a roundabout. Here you will find a café-restaurant, including a charging point.
Continue to junction 77. At the end, the ditch on your left forms the border with Belgium. At the junction, you are at the estate and monastery of Nieuwkerk . Continue a little further straight ahead to get a good view. The Natuurtuin Goirle is also located here. Turn right here and follow the cycle path that runs parallel to this road. The nature reserve De Regte Heide is located on your left. As soon as you reach the Turnhoutsebaan again, do not cross it, but keep left, more or less following the Turnhoutsebaan. This part of the route is unpaved, but easy to walk on, even when it rains.
At the end of the unpaved part, turn right, through a small tunnel under the provincial road. You will drive through the De Hellen district for a while, and then over the Wittendijk. At the Van Hoogendoornplein, turn left, until you turn left onto the Nieuwe Rielseweg. Here you will find the second mill of Goirle (\\\"De WIlde\\\"), a local history society , and a deer park . Follow the Nieuwe Rielseweg until you are back in De Hellen, continue straight ahead. You will pass a typical Brabant Franconian Triangle where there is also a community center: De Deel . Continue following the cycle path until you reach the Turnhoutsebaan again.
Cross the Rillaerse Baan and follow the service road to the right. Just past the roundabout, turn left onto the Venneweg. At the end, you will find a small chapel on your left. Here, turn right and shortly afterwards left towards Tilburg. Follow this road to the Willem II stadium and cross twice here. Follow the Oude Goirleseweg into Tilburg.
Just past the Korvelse Kerk, on the Korvelplein, you will see the monastery of the Friars Minor Capuchin on your left on the corner of the Paterstraat. A little further on, on the Sint-Annaplein, you will find the house where Vincent van Gogh lived during his student years. There is a plaque on the first floor of the house in question. From here, the route takes you via the Hiroshima monument back to the end point: Tilburg station.
