The route starts and ends at Tilburg station. We leave in a westerly direction and then in a northerly direction along the Wilhelminapark , one of the oldest city parks in Tilburg. We pass the police station, and on your left you will see the De Pont museum. This is a museum for contemporary art, named after the lawyer Jan de Pont, from whose legacy the museum can be kept open, without subsidies.
Here we turn right, into the Goirkestraat, and less than half a kilometer further you will find the next museum: the Textile Museum , located since 1985 in the former textile factory of Mommers. We follow the Goirkestraat and cross the Wilhelmina Canal.
We leave the built-up area a little further on. Immediately afterwards you will find café-restaurant Bij Peerke Donders on your right. Here is the birthplace of Father Petrus Donders, missionary and priest in Suriname and caretaker of lepers in the colony of Batavia. In the park known as 'Heiligdom de Heikant' there is a museum dedicated to him. There is also a Stations of the Cross and a chapel, in Surinamese style.
In the summer you can often visit two of the three museums mentioned on a combination ticket.
We continue our way to junction 92, and drive along the Noorderplas via junctions 94 and 41 to 36. Here you will find café-restaurant Bosch en Duin . In the wooded area behind the restaurant you will find two war memorials and a viewpoint over the dunes. You are here on the edge of De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park.
Along the national park we continue our journey in an easterly direction, on the border of forest and farmland. The dunes themselves are separated from the bike path by a narrow strip of forest of a few hundred meters. A few kilometers further east you will find café-restaurant De Rustende Jager . Here we turn left into the woods.
In the forest you will find dunes and heaths on both sides of the cycle path. A little later we arrive in the hamlet of Giersbergen , where you can enjoy something to eat in the De Drie Linden inn. Here we turn right, direction Cromvoirt. You pass pancake house De Helvoirtse Heide . Just before Distelberg you will see a war memorial on your right. You are about halfway along the route, at the furthest point.
Via junction 30 we go towards Helvoirt. There is a tourist information point at hotel and brasserie De Guldenberg . Here we head west, via junction 25 through the woods back to junction 76. Here we leave the national park behind us. We drive past Biezenmortel to Udenhout. On the way you will pass Café \\\'t Gommelen .
In Udenhout we make a small detour to the right at the old town hall . There you will find Huize Vincentius (for people with a mental disability) on your right. A few hundred meters further on you will see De Strijdhoeve Castle on your right (actually a large mansion with a moat and accompanying estate). The Strijdhoeve cannot be visited.
We turn around again and turn right at the old town hall towards Berkel-Enschot. In the Slimstraat you will find several cafes and restaurants in addition to the church. We drive back to Tilburg through the outskirts of Udenhout and Berkel-Enschot. We drive back past the Quirijnstokpark over the Wilhelmina Canal. Finally, via Lovensestraat, we return to Tilburg station.
