Description
Your route starts at Hotel & Restaurant Infinity. The Vecht, a branch of the IJssel, flows between Zwolle and Ommen and winds its way through the beautiful landscape. At junction 8 you pass De Stokte. This lookout tower is about 20 meters high, from the top you have a beautiful view over the stream valley. Be sure to get off at Landgoed Vilsteren a little further on! The special Edelmans house Den Berg from the beginning of the eighteenth century is also located in the river valley of the Vecht. It is a so-called havezate, a fortified farm, formerly inhabited by nobles. Mataram Estate owes its special name to its first owner, JM van Rhijn, former resident at the court of the Sultan of Mataram.
