Enjoy a nice bike ride through the wooded Brabant countryside, past beautiful windmills and the forests of the Maashorst.

The Pits

Recreational area'De Kuilen\\\' consists of a number of ponds that were created by sand excavations, including for the brick factory. This is where the so-called green sand is extracted and used in road construction. It dates from the Miocene and the Pliocene. The Hellemolen is a beautiful white-painted stone belt mill from 1832. Only the hull of the Nooit Gedacht mill has been preserved. The last part of the route you cycle through the lovely forests of the Maashorst Nature Reserve.

The stately front garden of De Pastorie is the ideal stopover for a cycling or walking tour. Enjoy the beauty that Zeeland has to offer and choose something tasty from the small menu, a cup of coffee with something savory or other Pastorie specialties. This octagonal tower mill dates from 1938. The mill has been restored several times and is still working.

De Hellemolen

This belt mill dates from 1832. The mill is no longer capable of turning, because most of the interior has been removed from the mill. Nowadays there is a restaurant located in the mill.

Molen Nooit Gedacht (romp/restant)

This round stone mill was built in 1858 as a flour mill. The mill was dismantled in 1960 and was used as a silo area. The mill is still used for that.
