Cycling route: 2904471
Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts in Nijkerk. Many farms around Putten, Voorthuizen and Nijkerk used to be owned by a number of large German abbeys and monasteries. Landgoed Gerven is a typical example of a camp landscape. On the south side it borders the hamlet of Appel. You see agricultural land, hedgerows, forest and heathland. Not much has changed since the sixteenth century. Here the medieval landscape is still largely intact, beautiful to see! In Voorthuizen, stop at Restaurant De Bunckman! Then you pass Molen De Hoop. In 1860 the first standard mill was built on this spot, the current mill dates from the end of the nineteenth century. You can visit on Saturdays, sometimes flour is still ground there. You cycle along a leafy road to Driedorp.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
