Cycling route: 2904471
Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts in Nijkerk. Many farms around Putten, Voorthuizen and Nijkerk were previously owned by a number of large German abbeys and monasteries. The Gerven estate is a typical example of a camp landscape. On the south side it borders the hamlet of Appel. You will see agricultural land, canals, forest and heathland. Not much has changed since the sixteenth century. Here the medieval landscape is still largely intact, beautiful to see! Get off at Restaurant De Bunckman in Voorthuizen! Then you pass Molen De Hoop. The first standard mill was built on this site in 1860, the current mill dates from the late nineteenth century. You can visit on Saturday, sometimes flour is still being milled. You cycle along a leafy road to Driedorp.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
