Egmond aan den Hoef, North Holland, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 2809619
Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts at EuroParcs De Woudhoeve, it is not possible to park your car here. This route takes you - through the beautiful old Alkmaar! - along the most beautiful and historic farms of World Heritage Beemster. Get off at the church of Stichting De Noordeinder Vermaning. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the Anabaptists formed the largest population group here. They did not know trained ministers, but teachers or admonishers. The history has been beautifully preserved in the former fishing village of De Rijp. A good example of this is the old Town Hall where the VVV is now located. Cycle through polder landscapes and look out over the old and new land of the Schermer and the Beemster. Via the Uitgeestermeer you cycle to the cozy Castricum. Here you dive into the North Holland Dune Reserve, back to square one.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
