Tour of Amsterdam, Amstel and Amsterdamse Bos

Your route starts at CityCamping Het Amsterdamse Bos, on the southern edge of the beautiful Amsterdamse Bos. From the park, this cycle route leads to the center of Amsterdam: you ride through the beautiful Amsterdam forest and arrive at the Vondelpark. This route takes you further through the Canal Belt, where you will find historic sights in addition to immense canal houses. This is how you discover the Spiegelkwartier, the heart of the trade in Dutch art and antiques for more than 80 years. From the 17th century onwards, the richest Amsterdammers lived on the Golden Bend, where double plots were cleared especially for them. You can cycle smoothly from Central Station and the IJ back to your starting point via the beautifully meandering Amstel.
