When the wind comes from the north, this route is nice to cycle.
Some highlights:
At Gaastmeer you go with a foot / bicycle ferry to the other side.
After Oudega you will pass a picnic area on the water.
At Workum you can choose to drive the extra 2 km to the beach. It is a nice, lovely beach. There is a public toilet facility upon entering Workum.
Workum, Hindeloopen and Stavoren are nice places to drive through.
