Tour of Ootmarsum and Groot Agelo

Your route starts at Restaurant Hotel Wyllandrie, just outside the lovely Ootmarsum. It is known as the art town of the eastern Netherlands. Here you will find all kinds of museums and art galleries where you can indulge yourself if you are an art lover, but the historic alleys of Ootmarsum are also worth a visit. First you walk to the Kuiperberg, where you have a beautiful view. Next to the Jewish cemetery and the water tower you will find a historic orientation table, a national monument. Here you can see large parts of Twente and the German border area. Then you walk into Ootmarsum. The emerging industry has passed Ootmarsum by, which is why the center has remained authentic. The route takes you back through the hamlet of Groot-Agelo, here you can still see some characteristic Saxon farms.
