Tour of Ootmarsum and Kuiperberg

Your route starts at Restaurant Hotel Wyllandrie. From here you walk to the Kuiperberg, where you have a beautiful view. Next to the Jewish cemetery and the water tower you will find a historical orientation table, a national monument. Here you can see large parts of Twente and the German border area. Then you walk into Ootmarsum, one of the most beautiful towns in the wider region. One of the first churches in Twente was built in Ootmarsum around 770, and the town was given city rights in 1300. The emerging industry has passed over Ootmarsum, so the center has remained authentic. There is a nice atmosphere! Drop by the Ootmarsum Open Air Museum. Here, in a park-like landscaped area, a large number of authentic half-timbered buildings bring the past to life.
