Cycling route: 2746387
Provided by: Groots Genieten
From your starting point at Sarsven & de Banen nature reserve you cycle to Stramproy, straight through small villages in beautiful Central Limburg. The beautifully restored St. John's Mill dates from 1783, although it was moved to its current location closer to the village in 1804. On the village square of Stramproy you can see the St. Willibrordus Church, whose marl tower dates from the sixteenth century. You cross the beautifully meandering Tungeler Beek and dive into the Tungeler Red Light District. You can also enjoy nature and beautiful old farms in the rural area of Weert. You cycle back along the Moeselpeel, a swamp area with willow forest and reed fields that you can beautifully see from the country roads.
