Description
There is a unique nature reserve between the Dutch Weert and the Belgian Maaseik: Grenspark Kempen-Broek. In this border park you drive through a series of different landscapes. You will learn all about it at your starting point, in the Environmental Education Center. Then you enjoy beautiful views of the IJzeren Man, a recreational lake. The Laurabossen is a former wood extraction forest. You will experience a wonderfully refreshing silence among the many coniferous trees. The Wijffelterbroek was once part of a large border swamp. A perfect area for smugglers, you can now enjoy beautiful views on a winding path. At the Pruiskesweg, get off at the picnic bench in the bend of the road, with a beautiful view of a fen.
