Round Kibbelkoele in Drenthe

Your walk starts at De Kippesthee Koffie & Thee, a nice place to grab a drink on a terrace before you put on your walking shoes. From here you can walk to a nice swimming lake in the Sleenerzand forestry, between Noord-Sleen and Schoonoord: Play pond Kibbelkoele. A nice clean swimming lake with a spacious sandy beach, nice to take a break! The lake was created by sand extraction during the construction of the N381 and is approximately 4 hectares in size. Because the water is shallow and the bottom slopes slowly, you can also go here with small children. Back at your starting point you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or tea with homemade cakes or biscuits, lunch or a refreshing drink or ice cream.
