Tour of the Twickel and Delden estates

Your route starts at Eetcafe-Cafetaria't Zumpke for a cup of coffee. The farms that belong to Landgoed Twickel can be recognized by the white shutters with black edges. There is also a castle on the estate, the oldest parts of which date from the middle of the sixteenth century. The castle is inhabited by a noble family and cannot be visited. But it is beautiful! In the former fortified town of Delden you can still discover beautiful remains from the past. For example, from the Langestraat, take a look at De Kroon (Markt 1), a monumental house from 1764. Get off at junction 74. The Noordmolen, dating from 1325, is located on the Oelerbeek. This was once a double water mill, now only the oil mill remains, which is used to press oil from rapeseed and linseed.
